The challenge
This project perfectly demonstrates how we transformed a family’s vision into reality, creating a unique and luxurious outdoor living space for them and their three children. The goal was to replace an outdated annex with a multifunctional area that harmoniously integrates with the garden’s ambiance.
Implementation
At the front, you’ll find a modern fitness room, fully equipped with air conditioning, a functional kitchenette, a shower, and sanitary facilities. The large smoked glass window provides privacy while maintaining an unobstructed view of the garden.
At the back, we created a spacious storage area for garden supplies and bicycles. Additionally, the advanced pool technology of the Blaauw Mini Pool has been seamlessly integrated. It's hidden, but remains easily accessible.
Material usage
The client’s preference for durable materials and high-quality finishes is skillfully incorporated into the design.
The façade cladding, made from dark Bamboo X-treme by A-wood, adds a warm, natural atmosphere that perfectly complements the surrounding garden.
Around the pool, the light-colored Millboard decking creates a refined balance between various shades of brown. The sedum green roof not only enhances the organic aesthetic but also serves a functional purpose: it cools in summer and retains heat in winter, ensuring a luxurious experience year-round.
Client experience
“Instead of constantly going to the gym, we wanted a workout space at home. There was an old outbuilding, but since we were redoing the entire garden anyway, we figured, why not create something exactly the way we want it?
We also wanted to add a pool to the garden, which required a space to house the necessary equipment. The old building had to make way for something new.
The result is a multifunctional space, built exactly to our vision. Sleek, stylish, and a true eye-catcher in the garden,” said the clients.
